Types and characteristics of control valves

Introduction: 
The control valve is composed of two main components: the valve body component and the actuating mechanism component (or actuating mechanism system). It is divided into four major series: single-seat control valve series, double-seat control valve series, sleeve control valve series, and self-operated control valve series. Variants of the four types of valves can result in numerous different applicable structures, each with its own specific applications, characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages. Although some control valves have a wider range of application conditions than others, control valves cannot be applied to all conditions. Together, they can form the best solution for enhancing performance and reducing costs. 
Type:

There are many types of valve bodies for control valves, and the commonly used ones include straight-through single-seat, straight-through double-seat, angle type, diaphragm type, low-flow type, three-way type, eccentric rotary type, butterfly type, sleeve type, ball type, etc. When making a specific selection, the following considerations can be taken into account:
1. Mainly based on the selected flow characteristics and unbalanced forces, etc.
2. When the fluid medium is a suspension containing high-concentration abrasive particles, the internal material of the valve should be hard.
3. Due to the corrosive nature of the medium, it is advisable to choose valves with simple structures.
4. When the temperature and pressure of the medium are high and change significantly, a valve with materials for the valve core and valve seat that are less affected by temperature and pressure changes should be selected.
5. Flashing and cavitation only occur in liquid media. In actual production processes, flashing and cavitation can cause vibration and noise, shortening the service life of the valve. Therefore, when choosing a valve, it is necessary to prevent the valve from generating flashing and cavitation. 
Feature:

1. There are various types of control valves, and they are applicable in different scenarios. Therefore, the type of control valve should be reasonably selected according to the requirements of the production process.
2. Pneumatic control valves are divided into air-open and air-close types. The air-open control valve closes in the faulty state, while the air-close control valve opens in the faulty state. Some auxiliary equipment can be used to form a hold-open valve or make the control valve self-lock, that is, the control valve maintains the valve opening degree before the fault occurs.
3. The air-open and air-close methods can be achieved through the types of positive and reverse acting actuators and the combination of positive and reverse body valves. When using a valve positioner, it can also be realized through the valve positioner.
4. Various control valves have different structures and each has its own characteristics.
