Installing the high-pressure safety valve is not an easy task. Are you ready?

A high-pressure safety valve is a type of safety protection valve. Its opening and closing components remain in a closed state under the action of external forces. Based on its structural form, it can be classified as pendulum type, lever type, spring type and pilot type; and based on its valve body structure, it can be divided into closed type and non-closed type. The following are the matters that should be noted when installing a high-pressure safety valve:
For boilers with a rated evaporation capacity greater than 0.5 tons per hour, at least two safety valves should be installed; for boilers with a rated evaporation capacity less than or equal to 0.5 tons per hour, at least one safety valve should be installed; for boilers with a rated steam pressure less than or equal to 3.82 MPa, the throat diameter of the safety valve should not be less than 25 mm; for boilers with a rated steam pressure greater than 3.82 MPa, the throat diameter of the safety valve should not be less than 20 mm.
2. The high-pressure safety valve should be installed vertically at the highest position of the boiler drum or header. No outlet pipes or valves for extracting steam should be installed between the safety valve and the boiler drum or header.
3. For lever-type safety valves, there should be a device to prevent the counterweight from moving on its own and a guide frame to limit the movement of the lever. For spring-type safety valves, there should be a lifting handle and a device to prevent the adjustment screws from being turned randomly.
4. The connecting pipe between the high-pressure safety valve and the boiler should have an inner diameter no less than that of the inlet of the safety valve. If several safety valves are installed on a short pipe directly connected to the boiler drum, the cross-sectional area of the short pipe should be no less than 1.25 times the total exhaust area of all the safety valves.
5. Safety valves should generally be equipped with exhaust pipes. The exhaust pipes should lead directly to a safe location and have sufficient cross-sectional area to ensure smooth exhaust. At the bottom of the exhaust pipe, a drain pipe that can lead to a safe location should be installed. Valves should not be installed on either the exhaust pipe or the drain pipe.
